How to take a panoramic photo?
I thought it would be a rocketscience, but it is not. Panoramic Photography is pretty simple with help of a nice digital camera, tripod, and panoramic stitch software and of course, a computer.
Step 1. You choose a nice view and set up your tripod at center of the view.
Step 2. Take several pictures of the view. You only rotate your camera in horizontal axis.
Step 3. Make sure you have several overlapping points in each two consecutive shots.
Step 4. Transfer your pictures to your computer and use your favorite panoramic stitch software. I used PTMac.
Step 5. There are several types of panoramic pictures (Single row rectangle, cylindrical etc). I chose the simplest. Single row panorama.
Step 6. Tell the software of control points for each 2 overlapping pictures. Choose at least 3 control points per pair.
Step 7.Optimizeand create your panoramic photo.
Step 8. You are done.
